Our commitment

Appointier is a booking tool used by businesses and their clients every day, and everyone should be able to schedule, manage, and attend appointments regardless of ability. We are committed to making our website and application usable by people with disabilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies.

Accessibility is part of our design and development process, not an afterthought. New features are reviewed for keyboard access, screen reader support, and sufficient contrast before release.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The website and application are partially conformant: most content meets the standard, and we are actively working through the remaining gaps listed below.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML with landmarks, labels, and heading structure.
  • Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators.
  • Text alternatives for images and captions for instructional video.
  • Support for browser zoom up to 200 percent without loss of content.
  • Respect for reduced motion preferences in animations.
  • Accessibility checks in code review and automated testing.

Compatibility

Appointier is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, in combination with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. The service is responsive and supports touch, keyboard, and voice input.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas are still being improved:

  • Some third-party embedded content, such as payment forms, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We raise these issues with our providers.
  • Older help articles may lack image descriptions. We are updating them as they are revised.

Report an accessibility issue

Your feedback helps us find and fix barriers faster. When reporting an issue, it helps to include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using.

Use this form to report an accessibility barrier. It opens your email client with the details pre-filled. You can also email us directly at accessibility@appointier.com. We aim to respond within two business days.
